On June 20, 1963 the USA and USSR agreed to establish a permanent telegraph connection between the leaders of the two countries.
The goal was to increase communication during times of nuclear brinkmanship.
On June 20,2004 India and Pakistan established a similar communication system to help with their nuclear conflict.
