Fact of the Day
On March 12, 1918 in Soviet Russia, Moscow was re-declared the capital city. The "re" is because Moscow was the original capital of Russia, but Tsar Peter I built a new capital city called St. Petersburg which was the capital for 200 years. The Soviets moved the capital city back because Moscow was more easily defended from anti-Soviet armies.
